Four steps. One team beside you.

1

Tell us what happened

Call or request a callback. We’ll listen, ask the right questions and explain the next step.

2

We assess the damage

Your property is inspected and the damage is documented from a building-led perspective.

3

We manage the claim

We organise the detail and communicate with the insurer to keep the claim moving.

4

We coordinate recovery

Once agreed, the reinstatement is planned and monitored through to completion.

How we work with you.

RESOLV is a new firm, so we would rather show you how we operate than ask you to take our word for it. These are the four things we commit to on every claim.

We tell you if you don't need us

If the damage is limited and your insurer is handling it fairly, we will say so. We would rather lose the work than take a fee that does not earn itself back.

The fee is agreed in writing first

We explain the basis of our fee in the first conversation and confirm it in writing before any work begins. No invoice ever arrives for something you did not agree to.

One named contact throughout

The person who inspects your property is the person who manages your claim. You will not be handed between departments or repeat yourself to a call centre.

Assessed on site, not from a desk

Every assessment starts at the property with a building-led view of the damage, because that is what stands up when the insurer asks how the figure was reached.

What does a loss assessor do?

A loss assessor works for the policyholder. They assess property damage, help prepare and manage the claim, communicate with the insurer and can coordinate the reinstatement process.

What does it cost to use RESOLV?

Fees are agreed in advance and tailored to the nature, complexity and value of each instruction. A free initial assessment may be available, with fees structured on a fixed-fee, hourly-rate or percentage basis where appropriate.

Can you help if my claim has already started?

Potentially, yes. Every claim is different, so the first step is a short conversation about the damage, your policy and what has happened so far.

Will using a loss assessor affect my premium?

Appointing an assessor is not itself a factor insurers price on. What affects a renewal is the claim on the policy, which exists whether or not you appoint anyone to help you present it.

What information should I have ready?

If available, have your policy details, insurer claim reference, photographs and a short timeline of the incident. Do not delay contacting us if you do not yet have everything.

How long does a property claim usually take?

A straightforward escape-of-water claim can settle in weeks; fire, flood and subsidence claims commonly run for months. We give you a realistic view early, then keep you updated rather than leaving you to chase.

Is it worth it for a smaller claim?

Not always, and we will tell you if we think it is not. If the damage is limited and your insurer is handling it fairly, the honest answer is that you may not need us.

Who does RESOLV represent?

RESOLV is positioned to support the policyholder. An insurer’s loss adjuster is appointed by the insurer; a loss assessor is appointed by you.

Tell us about the damage.

Leave your details and a brief summary. A member of the RESOLV team will get back to you to understand the situation.
